GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES - EATING:

It is best to start training your golden retriever at a young age.  When training your golden retriever, it is important to keep them in a routine.  It is important to show them where their food and water dishes are.  It is important not to move their dishes around as a puppy, as it takes them out of their routine.  When feeding your golden retriever puppy, it is important to feed them at about the same time each day, as well as the same amount.  It is important to not feed your golden retriever puppy too much; over feeding can have a negative effect on your puppy’s health.  Your puppy should be eating twice a day, it helps control their weight.  I good serving size for a golden retriever puppy is ½ cup (twice a day).  If weight becomes a concern for your golden retriever puppy, be sure to contact your local veterinarian for guidance.

My wonderful golden retriever, Tucker, started this at a very young age!  He adapted very well to his eating schedule and is a very healthy boy!
